My husband Des built Richard's first racing wheelchair when we all met in Miami Florida where Rich was studying at UM. He has been a valued friend ever since. So sorry to learn of his passing away in August just this week. Our sincere condolences to the family all of whom we met on a visit to Pittsburgh many years ago. A beautiful family who supported their son throughout all his challenges in life.
